The Shogunate Tree Breakdown

Hey everyone! First of all I want to thank everyone involved in this challenge, and for getting an Honorable Mention for my entry, I couldn't be happier really, as I entered simply to take part. During my updates, a fair few of you have asked me how I went about creating my work, most of all the tree. As it's Christmas, I decided to do a comprehensive breakdown of my process.

I really didn't want to call this a tutorial, as there's tones I could have improved or optimized during the process if I had more time, and a lot of what I did was through heavy experimentation, watching tutorials, and having tones of fun finding something I liked. Not to mention that all of this was done during my free time as I couldn't take time off from work, unless you count the time I got the flu. This challenge has been a bit of a wild ride!
